Welcome to 2019, My Year Of??

Happy New Year everyone!! Gosh! Can’t believe we are in 2019. I am so excited for this year and the possibilities that it carries. In this New Year, Let’s Talk Nation would be One year old! Can you imagine that? We have indeed grown over the past 11 months, and I can’t wait to see what God has planned out for us this year. But first, the resolutions!

New Year, New Me?

I have never been a resolutions type of girl, or maybe I never stuck through with anything in the past. I just lived life, the way it came. But in 2018, I learned how to make plans, and stick with them. Especially starting an online platform, if you don't plan out the events that are going to take place, the articles that have to be written, and the deadlines, then you are planning for failure. I understand a lot of people start blogs and websites but don't end up seeing them through for whatever reason, one of them which could be attributed to the lack of planning. I didn't want that to be LTN's story, so I had to learn how to be disciplined.

Apart from being disciplined, I also learned that consistency is critical. Whatever you choose to do, if it's working out, eating right, applying for a job, pursuing a relationship, and even building a relationship with God, if you are consistent, all these things will flourish. A lot of people ask me how I started, and how I have stayed committed, the answer I have is usually vision. Once you have a vision for your life, and you know your why, that will keep you going, even on the days, you don't feel like it. So this year, I also want to be more disciplined, direct, and goal oriented. If you give your all to something, it naturally flourishes.

God has entrusted me with this great venture that is Let’s Talk Nation, and I cannot afford to mess with it. Especially as we are growing, more people are getting to know about us, so I owe them my all. So yes, planning and more planning, are part of my goals for 2019. My dream for this year is that many people will know about the work we are doing here, and want to be a part of it. It wouldn’t just stop with great articles or stories, it will translate into doing actual work. Like adopting communities, that can't fend for themselves and coming up with plans and ideas of how we can help them.

Partnering with great organizations that are already doing charity work, and helping the people around us. Adding more contributors to our platforms, and also contributing to outside platforms as well. Developing more stories, which everyone can enjoy, and who knows what this can lead to? I am just so excited for what this year is going to be, and I can feel that it is going to be an amazing year! My prayer for everyone is that they grab the opportunities in front of them and leave the past behind (myself inclusive).

God is going to show up and show out for His children this year. Do you want to make a difference? Be sure to join us! And oh to answer the open-ended question I asked in the title of this post, 2019 is my year of traveling! I want to resume seeing this world and all its beauty. You heard it here first (haha).
